Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh blueberries mashed
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 6 oz dark chocolate chips
  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup optional

Instructions

  • Wash and prepare the blueberries. If using fresh berries, wash them thoroughly. If using frozen, no need to thaw. Mash the berries for more color and flavor if desired.
  • In a medium bowl, mix blueberries and yogurt. Add maple syrup if desired and stir well.
  • Scoop onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the sheet, creating small clusters.
  • Freeze for about 30 minutes. This helps the clusters firm up before dipping in chocolate.
  • Melt the chocolate. Use a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 15 to 30-second intervals, stirring each time to prevent burning.
  • Dip each cluster in melted chocolate. Use a spoon or fork to coat them evenly.
  • Place clusters back on the prepared baking sheet. Once all are coated, return them to the freezer.
  • Freeze for at least 1-2 hours. Allow the chocolate to set completely before enjoying!

Notes

  • Use thick yogurt. Greek yogurt helps the clusters hold their shape.
  • Try flavored yogurt. Vanilla yogurt or coconut yogurt can add extra flavor.
  • Mash the blueberries. This brings out their natural sweetness and gives the clusters a deeper color.
  • Use a double boiler. If you don’t want to use a microwave, melt the chocolate over a double boiler for a smoother result.
  • Store in an airtight container. This keeps them fresh and prevents freezer burn.
  • Experiment with different fruit. Swap blueberries for raspberries or blackberries for a fun variation!
