Camp Cooker Cookies

These camp cooker cookies are an easy and tasty treat to make while camping. Freshly baked cookies are perfect after a day of outdoor fun.

Ingredients

  • Pillsbury cookie dough
  • Non-stick cooking spray

Instructions

  • Spray the inside of the pie iron with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Open the package of cookie dough and squeeze about 2 Tbsp of dough onto one side of the iron.
  • Press the dough down slightly and repeat with the other side of the iron.
  • Do not close the pie iron and cook, open-faced, over the fire for approximately 12 minutes.
  • The cookies are done when they are slightly golden around the edges.
  • Allow the cookies to cool before removing from the iron.

Notes

  • Be sure to liberally spray the interior of the pie iron to help prevent the cookies from sticking!
  • These cookies are best cooked slowly over a smoldering (NOT HOT) fire to ensure that they do not burn. Be patient!
