Campfire Dutch Oven Pizza

Make campfire Dutch oven pizza with just a few ingredients! This easy camping recipe has melty cheese, crispy crust, and all your favorite toppings.

Ingredients

  • 1 can Pillsbury pizza crust
  • ¼ cup Primo pizza sauce
  • 200 g Pepperoni sliced
  • 1 cup Mozzarella shredded cheese

Instructions

  • Open the pizza dough and press it into the bottom of the Dutch oven.
  • Spread pizza sauce on the dough.
  • Sprinkle generous amounts of mozzarella cheese over the dough.
  • Top with pepperoni slices and cover with the Dutch oven lid.
  • Cook over a low fire for 30-40 minutes or until the dough is baked and the cheese is melty.

Notes

  • Spray the interior of the oven with non-stick spray or line it with a large piece of parchment paper to help prevent sticking. A well seasoned cast iron oven will not need this, but it still helps.
  • Rotate the Dutch oven often and move it away from open flame. Alternatively, this recipe can be baked in a trailer oven or over a BBQ grill.
