This Christmas red sangria recipe is the perfect drink for the holiday season! A combination of fresh fruit, brandy, orange juice and cabernet sauvignon makes for the most delicious red wine sangria you've ever had.

Ingredients

  • 1 750 ml bottle red wine cabernet sauvignon
  • ½ cup brandy grand marnier orange liqueur
  • ½ cup cranberry juice
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • 1 orange sliced
  • 1 lime sliced
  • ½ cup frozen or fresh cranberries

Instructions

  • Cut the citrus fruit into slices.
  • Add fruit to a large pitcher.
  • Combine brandy and fruit juice.
  • Add the entire bottle of wine and stir with a wooden spoon.
  • Serve in a wine or cocktail glass.

Notes

  • Experiment with different citrus flavours! Try adding fresh lime juice, or oranges to this recipe.  
  • Pomegranate seeds could be used instead of cranberries to create a pomegranate sangria.
  • Create a white sangria recipe using white wine.
  • Add ginger ale, simple syrup or apple cider instead of fruit juice.
  • Use pomegranate juice instead of cranberry.
