Ingredients

  • 2 - 17.5 oz containers of Pillsbury Grands Cinnamon Rolls
  • Non-stick baking spray
  • Red food coloring

Instructions

  • Open the two cans of dough and set aside the icing. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Unroll each of the large cinnamon rolls almost to the center.
  • Spray a 10" round casserole dish with cooking spray.
  • Place half of the cinnamon roll dough in folds to one side of the baking dish.
  • Repeat on the other side of the dish with the remaining dough. Leave a 1/2" space down the center.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until the top turns golden brown.
  • Mix a drop of red food coloring with the icing in a medium bowl.
  • Top the cinnamon roll casserole with the pink icing using a butter knife.
  • Cut into wedges and serve or have party guests simply pull the brain casserole apart with a fork.

Notes

  • For the best results, use Pillsbury Grands. They are extra fluffy and hold their shape better than off-brand cinnamon rolls.
  • Use gel food coloring for a more vibrant, blood-red look to the icing.
  • Prep the rolls the night before, cover, and bake fresh in the morning for an easy Halloween breakfast.
  • For extra gooey “brains”, pour 1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream over the unbaked cinnamon rolls before they go in the oven. It soaks into the dough while baking, making the centers irresistibly soft and melt-in-your-mouth delicious!
  • A silicone baking mat under your dish can help prevent over-browning.
