1
container of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
¼
cup
butter
melted
2
Tbsp
white sugar
2
tsp
ground cinnamon
Instructions
Pop open the can of crescent rolls and separate crescent dough along the perforations.
Wrap dough triangle around a roasting stick.
Roast over the coals of a campfire until the dough is cooked through and golden brown.
While the churro is roasting, melt the butter over the fire in a small cast iron skillet.
Remove the crescent roll churro from the roasting stick and dip it in the butter, coating it completely.
Drop the churro into the bag full of cinnamon and sugar and give it a shake.
Notes
Rotate your churro slowly and evenly to avoid burnt spots and raw dough middles.
Brush tops with extra melted butter and sprinkle more cinnamon sugar if you like a little extra flair.
Try using biscuit dough or puff pastry as a fun twist.
Store extra cinnamon sugar mixture in a small container so you’re always churro-ready.
Bring along a pie iron for alternative campfire cooking (you can sandwich the churros like a toasty dessert taco).
Add a cream cheese drizzle or dip for a twist on sopapilla cheesecake bars.
