Easy Cilantro Lime Crema (Mexican-Style Recipe)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 Tbsp sour cream - we use 14% regular sour cream
  • 1 Tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1 Tbsp fresh cilantro finely diced
  • Zest from 1/2 lime
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Combine ingredients together in a small bowl.
  • ​Stir and use a hand blender to thicken the sauce (about 15 seconds).
  • ​For a finishing touch, add lime zest.

Notes

Do not over blend as the sauce will quickly become thick.
You can add more cream or lime juice to thin out the sauce if needed.
