Ingredients

  • ½ box white cake mix 187.5 g
  • 8 oz container Cool Whip 1 tub
  • Leaf green gel food coloring
  • Heart candy sprinkles
  • Assorted cookies

Instructions

  • To a bowl add your cake mix and cool whip. Beat with a mixer until well combined and smooth.
  • Add in a small amount of food coloring to start. Mix until well combined. Add more if needed, until desired color is achieved.
  • Top with heart sprinkles. Surround with assorted cookies.
  • Serve and enjoy.

Notes

  • Many store-bought cake mixes are already heat-treated, but this is an option if you want added peace of mind. Microwave the dry mix for 1 minute, stirring halfway through, to kill any potential bacteria. 
  • Start with just a dab of food colouring—you’d be surprised how quickly the green intensifies.
  • Serve with a variety of dippers like graham crackers, vanilla wafers, and chocolate cookies for extra fun.
  • If you want the dip a little thicker, add a spoonful more cake mix.
  • Chill the dip for 20 minutes if you prefer a firmer, scoopable texture.
