polymer clay in green
dark green, light green, grey and black
clay cutting and shaping tools
toothpicks
black sharpie fine tip marker
white glue
white paint
mod podge
paint brush
Instructions
1. Begin by forming the clay into a soft, malleable ball
2. Roll 1 cm clay balls in each of the three colors.
3. Form the balls into three different shapes to create three different succulent plants.
4. Cone, tear drops and leaves.
5. Press 6-8 of the leaves together at one end.
6. Layer 4-6 of the leaves on top of that.
7. Finish with 3 more leaves and plant one is complete
8. Flatten a ball into a flat disk and press the cone shapes around the edge.
9. Bring the cones up to the center and press together to form one plant.
10. Press four of the tear drops together at the rounded base.
11. Layer alternatingly to create another plant.
12. Now roll three large grey balls.
13. Press each ball into a cylindrical plant pot shape. Poke a hole in the top, center with a toothpick.
14. Use a clay stylus tool to make indents for eyes in each pot.
15. Roll 6-8 tiny black balls of clay for eyes.
16. Poke a hole in the underside of each clay plant for a toothpick.
17. Bake the clay as directed in the oven. For me that was 25 minutes at 200 degrees
18. Once the clay has cooled, glue the black balls into the eyes and draw a mouth on the pot with a sharpie.
19. Use white paint to add pupils to the eyes.
20. Seal the clay plants with mod podge
21. Using a toothpick, place each plant top into the clay pot.
