The Best Chili Cheese Hot Dogs
These are seriously the best chili cheese dogs! There is nothing better than juicy hot dogs on a toasty bun, smothered in hot dog chili - the perfect comfort food.

all beef hot dogs

hot dog buns
Hot dog sauce
prepared
Nacho sauce
prepared
Instructions
Place the dogs in boiling water to cook.
Boil for 4-6 minutes.
Using tongs, place the dog into a fresh bun.
Top with several tablespoons of the ground beef mixture.
Add nacho cheese sauce overtop.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to one week in the fridge and reheat in the microwave or air fryer.
Toasted buns make all the difference—brush with olive oil or butter and broil until golden.
Simmer the chili long enough to thicken but not dry it out—it should be rich, not soupy.
You can prep the chili in advance and keep it warm on low heat while you boil the dogs.
Freeze leftover chili in an airtight container for emergency hot dog nights.
For extra melty goodness, add shredded cheddar on top of the nacho cheese.
You can swap ground beef for ground turkey for a leaner chili without losing flavor.
