Ingredients

  • 4 cups lightly salted popcorn
  • 12 oz pink chocolate candy melts
  • 1 cup valentine’s M&M red & pink
  • ½ cup salted peanuts
  • ¼ cup Valentine candy corn
  • 2 tbsp valentine’s day sprinkles

Instructions

  • Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with wax paper.
  • Spread the popcorn in a single layer on a large baking sheet. Be sure to check for any un-popped kernels, as you don’t want them in your final treat!
  • Melt the pink candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 15-second intervals, stirring after each, until the candy is completely smooth and melted.
  • Drizzle the melted candy over the popcorn, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
  • Top with your favorite Valentine’s popcorn additions like M&Ms, salted peanuts, candy corn, and sprinkles for extra color and crunch.
  • Let the popcorn chill in the refrigerator to set. Once the candy coating has hardened, break the popcorn into pieces.

Notes

  • Homemade popcorn gives you the flexibility to control the flavor and texture. If you don’t want to make it from scratch, microwave popcorn works just fine, but keep in mind that it may contain artificial flavor or butter, which could alter the taste.
  • For an even sweeter treat, feel free to add in some chocolate flavor, chocolate chips, or even conversation hearts for a more playful twist.
  • If you’re making this as a gift, you can package it in cute Valentine popcorn tins or popcorn gift boxes for a fun and thoughtful present!
