Tis the season for fresh corn in our area and I’m so excited! Whether I pick it up at the farmers’ market or at a local fruit and vegetable stand, nothing quite beats the taste of sweet corn on the cob straight from the farm.

There are plenty of methods for cooking up your corn on the cob. The most common is to boil it in a pot of water on the stove top.

We have also cooked our corn on the grill and over a campfire. While each method has its benefits, today I am going to show you how to make corn on the cob in an air fryer.

You could also use this cooking method to make Mexican street corn, coated in a creamy sauce with lime juice, cotija cheese, cilantro, and Tajin seasoning.

Recipe Notes

  • You can use salted butter, but adjust the added salt accordingly to avoid over-seasoning.
  • Feel free to customize the seasoning with your favorite herbs or spices, like garlic powder, smoked paprika, chili powder, or freshly ground black pepper.
  • Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may be able to cook more ears of corn at once. Just make sure they fit comfortably in a single layer in the basket without overcrowding. Cook in batches if needed.

  • You can cook the corn directly in the air fryer basket, but using foil helps to keep the corn moist and prevents it from drying out during cooking.
  • Store any leftover corn in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  • Usually, I keep it simple, just seasoning my corn on the cob with melted butter and salt. Other times, I add chopped parsley or chives. A sprinkle of parmesan cheese is also delicious! Give it a try.
