Here are a few of the basic grocery store staples that you will need to get started with this easy recipe.
- Lean ground beef โ Costco has the best deal on ground beef, and I buy a large pack at least once a month. This recipe uses half of the Costco pack and makes 12 patties.
- White onion, finely diced โ Finely diced onion adds moisture, texture, and a subtle savory sweetness to the patties.
- Eggs โ We’re currently loving farm fresh eggs from the neighbor.
- Breadcrumbs โ They create a tender texture and help lock in all those delicious juices. Panko works great here.
- Homemade hamburger seasoning โ We love this flavorful homemade blend of spices, but you can also use your favorite store-bought mix.
- Worcestershire sauce โ This rich savory sauce adds smoky, tangy depth and enhances the beef flavor beautifully.

Instructions
1. Gather all of the ingredients.

2. In a large bowl, combine lean beef and eggs.

3. Add onion, breadcrumbs, and seasoning.

4. Mix until well combined.

5. Use a kitchen scale to weigh out 5 oz balls from the meat mixture.
6. Form the balls into patties by hand or use a patty press.

7. Layer patties between wax paper and store in the fridge, covered, until ready to use.

How Long Do You Cook Hamburger Patties?
- Hamburgers can be cooked in a slow cooker on high for 5 hours or low for 7-9 hours.
- Patties may be placed in an air fryer basket and cooked for 6-7 minutes at 350ยฐF.
- Hamburger patties can be cooked on the gas grill or charcoal grill for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time.
