These little salmon bites make a quick snack idea or post-workout protein boost. They can also be paired with a variety of sides to make a more complete dish.

Easy Salmon Bites

Ingredients: 

  • Salmon filets (6 ounces each) – skin removed
  • Olive oil
  • Lemon juice
  • Garlic cloves, minced 
  • Salt
  • Black pepper

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven for 400 F.

2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

3. Remove the skin from the salmon fillet. Pat them dry with paper towels.

4. Cut salmon into bite-sized pieces, about 1 inch square.

5. Combine olive oil, salt, pepper, minced garlic, and lemon juice in a medium bowl.

6. Pour the garlic sauce over the salmon cubes and gently toss.

7. Marinate the salmon in the sauce for about 10 minutes.

8. Spread the salmon pieces out in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.

9. Bake salmon at 400 F for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through.

10. Remove from the oven and let the salmon bites cool for 4-5 minutes before serving.

Tips and Tricks

  • The easiest way to ensure the fish is thoroughly cooked is to check the internal temperature with an instant read thermometer.
  • Add a crispy coating to the salmon with panko breadcrumbs for another variation.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.

What to serve with salmon bites

  • Salmon bites can be served with a variety of different sauces. Try soy sauce, tartar sauce, tzatziki sauce, teriyaki sauce, or a simple dressing made with olive oil and fresh lemon juice.
  • Salmon bites go well with a variety of veggies (grilled asparagus, steamed broccoli, roasted or mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad).
  • Salmon bites can be also served with baguette slices, toast, or brown rice.
  • Top the salmon nuggets with diced green onions or sesame seeds.
  • Leftover salmon bites can be used in salad the next day.
