WHAT ARE RICE KRISPIE TREATS?

Rice krispie treats are primarily made of rice krispies cereal, melted butter and mini marshmallows. These Easter pops are made even easier by simply using pre made cereal treats, dipping them in chocolate and then covering them in candy or colorful sprinkles.

These krispy treats are so much fun for kids of all ages to make and add to an Easter dessert table. They’d be great for other events like a birthday party or bridal shower too!

I love how pretty this fun dessert looks with just pastel candy melts and mini M&Ms! It can easily be adapted by simply using different colored chocolate or candy.

Try using: a pretzel stick, marshmallow peeps, white candy melts, mini eggs, green candy melts, pink candy, white chocolate drizzle, jelly beans, chocolate eggs, festive sprinkles or more!

I have made this easy dessert before where I used an easter egg shape and covered the rice krispie cereal treats with frosting in a piping bag and candy eggs. They looked and tasted just as good so really, the sky is the limit with this recipe.

TIPS FOR MAKING THESE EASY EASTER TREATS:

  • Use Wilton candy melts for best results, the wafer chocolate melts the best. Add one teaspoon of coconut oil to other melted chocolate chips to help them melt and pour better.
  • Lay the chocolate covered treat on a parchment lined baking sheet for easy moving and transporting before the chocolate has hardened.
  • Place the chocolate in the fridge or freezer to completely cool before serving.
  • Store these yummy treats in a large freezer bag or airtight container for up to three months at room temperature. They can also be stored in the fridge to prevent the chocolate from melting.
