Easy Eggnog Fudge Recipe

Here comes the creamiest, coziest little square of holiday magic youโ€™ll make all season – eggnog fudge! This one is pure Christmas nostalgia wrapped up in a pan.

Three creamy white fudge squares are stacked on a round wooden slice, with more fudge pieces blurred in the background. The setup rests on patterned paper with a rustic, festive feel.

Every year, when the boys were little, theyโ€™d beg for eggnog at the very first hint of frost. Now that theyโ€™re teens, they donโ€™t begโ€ฆ they just mysteriously appear in the kitchen the second they hear the carton crack open.

Honestly, I should start wearing a bell like the ice cream truck so they know when treats are coming.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

This fudge has become one of our non-negotiable holiday traditions, right up there with making sure the dog doesnโ€™t eat the wrapping paper and pretending weโ€™re organized for Christmas morning.

Itโ€™s smooth, sweet, lightly spiced, and tastes exactly like the holiday season should. And the best part? Itโ€™s surprisingly easyโ€”no complicated steps, no fussing, just old-fashioned stovetop goodness and a little patience while it sets.

Perfect for gift giving, dessert trays, or late-night snacking while wrapping gifts and wondering why kidsโ€™ stocking stuffers make so much noise.

Before we dive into the full instructions, hereโ€™s a quick look at the ingredients and how each one adds its own holiday magic.

Tips & Tricks

  • Make sure the mixture hits 234ยฐFโ€”this ensures the fudge sets with the perfect firm-but-creamy texture and doesnโ€™t stay soft.
  • Line the pan generously with parchment so you can lift the whole block out easily for clean slicing.
  • Donโ€™t rush the set time! Let the fudge cool completely at room temperature before cutting for those perfect, sharp edges.
  • For extra eggnog flavour, add a pinch more nutmeg on topโ€”my boys love the extra sprinkle.
  • If your fudge separates while cooking, just keep stirring over gentle heat and it will come back together.

Amazing fudge recipe! Everyone that has tried this has loved it! I did make a couple tweaks since I only had cinnamon on hand. I used that instead of nutmeg. Also I couldn’t find Rum extract so I used Vanilla. Its amazing! So creamy and melts in your mouth. This is going in my Christmas baking rotation from now on.
