Halloween Veggie Tray Skeleton

This fun veggie tray skeleton recipe is the perfect appetizer for Halloween.  Not only is it delicious but it’s also easy to make for parties and events!

Vegetable trays have become a staple around here and we love to use them for all kinds of events and spooky gatherings. In a pinch they’re also awesome for family dinner or date night too!

We love veggies trays because they are so easy to create and fit into our low carb lifestyle.  They often combine a wide selection of healthy vegetables, tortilla chips and creamy dip.

How to make a Halloween veggie tray!

Halloween Veggie Tray Process

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Ranch dip, in a small bowl
  • 1 bag Tortilla chips, any kind
  • 2 Black olives, halved
  • 10 Celery stalks
  • 2 Bell peppers, sliced
  • 10 Mushrooms, sliced
  • 12 Cherry or grape tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup Cauliflower or Broccoli florets
  • 12 small Hot peppers, whole
  • Lettuce, optional

Veggie Tray Skeleton Recipe:

Directions:

1. Prepare a large surface for serving. We like to lay out parchment paper on a baking sheet or counter top, a large platter would work too!

2. Fill a small round bowl with ranch dressing or vegetable dip of your choosing.

3. Place tortilla chips around the top of the bowl of dressing.

4. Lay hot peppers in a line from the bottom of the bowl.

5. Layer cut bell pepper to either side of the hot peppers to create ribs.

6. Place mushrooms around the bottom of the hot peppers.

7. Use celery and tomatoes to create arms and legs on either side of the skeleton.

8. Create hands and feet using cauliflower, broccoli or lettuce.

9. Finish off the skeleton with olive and red pepper features placed in the dip.
