Juicy Air Fryer Pork Chops

Getting back into a fall routine means that I need to be ready with meal plans that can be made with very little time and effort. Once the boys are back in school, our schedules fill up quickly.

If I don’t plan ahead, meals become just one more stressful task on the to-do list.

I don’t know about you, but that is not my idea of a fun time! Adding recipes to my menu that are simple to make, like today’s pork chops, is the perfect way to alleviate stress and keep everyone well fed.

Air Fryer Pork Chops

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • Bone-in pork chops
  • Kosher salt
  • Dried sage
  • Garlic powder
  • Brown sugar
  • Black pepper
  • Oil

Instructions

1. In a small bowl, combine the salt, dried sage, garlic powder, brown sugar, black pepper, and oil to create a marinade.

2. Rub the marinade mixture evenly over both sides of the pork chops. Let them marinate for about 10 minutes at room temperature.

3. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.

4. Once preheated, place the marinated pork chops in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not overlapping.

5. Cook the pork chops in the air fryer at 380°F (190°C) for 10 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time for even browning.

6. Once cooked through and golden brown, remove the pork chops from the air fryer.

7. Let the pork chops rest for a few minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.

Recipe Notes

  • You can use boneless pork chops if you prefer. Adjust the cooking time accordingly based on the thickness of the pork chops.
  • Use an instant read thermometer to confirm that the internal temperature of the pork chops has reached 145 F before serving.
  • Feel free to adjust the seasoning according to your taste. You can add more or less of any of the seasonings to suit your flavor preferences. You could also include other spices, such as onion powder, smoked paprika, or a seasoning blend.
  • You can marinate the pork chops for longer if desired, up to overnight in the refrigerator. This will allow the flavors to penetrate the meat more deeply.
  • You can use other types of oil, such as olive oil or melted butter, for the marinade. Use whichever oil you prefer or have on hand.
