Hello, hello friends!!! If you’ve been around a while then you know that I am a huge Star Wars fan… if you are new then… WELCOME! My name is Heather and I am the crazy lady who was beyond excited to get a hug from Chewbacca in Disneyland on Valentines Day!!! Seriously, best thing ever!!! Okay well, today I am sharing these adorable Star Wars Perler Bead Minis that my son Cam made the other day…
They are each only about an inch and a half in size. I love how adorable they are! Cam made sure to create two of my favorite characters… Boba Fett and Chewbacca! He also made Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Yoda and R2D2. Cam has been creating perler bead patterns for a few years now so this is a craft that children five and up can do without too much help from mom or dad.
Perler Bead projects are perfect for gift giving! Picture these with magnets stuck on the back, or a safety pin glued to one side or a key fob attached through a hole. Or attached to a Star Wars themed valentine card…. or given to friends and strangers alike as a random act of kindness? This craft is a win-win really, the kids get to be creative AND practise kindness! I love it….
Crafting essentials for perler bead projects:
- We love using this flat bottom dry iron (aff link) for perfect bead melting every time.
- These perler bead tweezers (aff link) are ideal for grasping and picking up beads.
- This Perler Bead Peg Board system (aff link) is our favorite because it interlocks together for larger projects.
- These stackable storage containers (aff link) make keeping our perler beads organized and tidy easy.
What are your kids totally in to lately?? The boys are migrated through so many interests! They love Mario & Luigi, Plants vs Zombies, Star Wars and Jurassic World just to name a few. The perler bead possibilities are endless!
