White chocolate snowman bark – delicious white chocolate, loaded with candy, for a sweet and salty holiday treat kids will love to help make!

White Chocolate Snowman Bark Recipe

We are slightly obsessed with snowmen, as proven by this alphabet block snowman craft, this snowman magnet craft**, this melted snowman ornament, this wooden peg snowman craft, and this cork snowman ornament**.

Clearly we love our snowmen, so it made total sense to create this cute melted snowman chocolate bark this year.

Too busy to make this right away? Pin it for later! Pin this post to your favorite board on Pinterest and it will be there when you’re ready!

Chocolate bark is primarily made of chocolate chips or chocolate wafers that are topped with a mixture of candy, nuts, or sprinkles. It’s most commonly made by melting the chocolate in the microwave and lasts up to three months in the pantry.

This sweet treat is called “bark” because, once broken into pieces, it often has a craggy surface that resembles tree bark.

Seriously, how darling are these chocolate snowman?! They are super fun to create and make a great holiday activity for the kids! Package the melted snowman bark up in cellophane bags, with a cute tag, for a quick and easy gift too.

How to Make Snowman Chocolate Bark

White Chocolate Snowman Bark Ingredients

Ingredients

  • White baking chocolate – This creamy base melts beautifully and provides a sweet canvas for all your snowman toppings.
  • Mini Reese’s peanut butter cups, cut in half – These little bites add a rich, peanut buttery goodness that pairs wonderfully with the sweetness of the white chocolate.
  • Pretzel sticks, broken in half – Salty pretzels provide a fun texture contrast, making each bite a delightful mix of sweet and salty.
  • White sprinkles – These add a touch of festive flair and a bit of crunch.
  • Red candy balls or mini M&M candies – These vibrant little candies serve as playful buttons on your snowman, adding a pop of color to your treat.
  • Candy eyes – These adorable eyes bring your snowman to life.
  • Orange candy triangles or orange sprinkles – These are perfect for creating carrot noses, adding a whimsical touch that completes your snowy creation.

Instructions

1.  Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Melt in 15-30 second intervals, checking and stirring each time so that the chocolate doesn’t burn.

2.  Spread the melted chocolate out onto a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet. The chocolate slab should be about 1/4″ thick.

3.  Add candy to the melted white chocolate before it cools. Use the Reese’s for a hat, two candy eyes, an orange nose, and a row of red candy balls. Add pretzels for arms. Press larger pieces of candy into the chocolate so that it really “sticks”.

4.  Place the chocolate in the fridge and allow it to harden completely before breaking into “bark” pieces.

Tips for Making Chocolate Bark

  • Use white candy melts for best results, as the wafer chocolate melts the best. Add one teaspoon of coconut oil to other chocolate to help it melt and pour better.
  • Pour chocolate onto a parchment-lined baking sheet for easy moving and transporting before the chocolate has hardened.
  • Place the chocolate in the fridge or freezer to completely cool before breaking into small pieces.

  • Be sure to use a sharp knife or dry hands when breaking the bark. If there is any moisture present, the color from the candy tends to rub off.
  • Store the chocolate bark in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three months. It can also be stored in the fridge to prevent the bark from melting.
