Start by placing five twigs into a star shape.  Then glue the ends together.

Layer more twigs over the original five, gluing the ends as you go.

Wrap twine around the joints where the twigs meet.  Use hot glue to attach the twine, wrap around the joint and glue again to fasten.

Coil a 12″ piece of wire into a spring shape.  Glue it to the bottom of the star.

Place the twig star at the top of your tree.
