Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese room temperature
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/4 cup toffee bits

Instructions

  • 1. Combine softened cream cheese and powdered sugar in a large mixing bowl.
  • 2. Add vanilla and mix until well combined.
  • 3. Spoon the cream cheese mixture into a serving bowl.
  • 4. Core and cut 5-6 apples into wedges and place them in a large bowl.
  • 5. Cover the apples with water mixed with few drops of lemon juice (to prevent browning), wrap the bowl in plastic wrap and store in the fridge until ready to use.
  • 6. Heat the caramel sauce in a small microwave safe bowl for 15 seconds until it reaches a pourable consistency.
  • 7. Spread the caramel over the cream cheese mixture.
  • 8. Sprinkle toffee bits over the caramel.
  • 9. Drain and rinse the apple slices before placing them on a platter around the serving dish.

You may use Skor bits, Heath bits or simply chopped up toffee or hard caramels for topping.
