Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese room temperature
  • cup powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup caramel sauce
  • ¼ cup toffee bits

Instructions

  • Combine softened cream cheese and powdered sugar in a large mixing bowl.
  • Add vanilla and mix until well combined.
  • Spoon the cream cheese mixture into a serving bowl.
  • Core and cut 5-6 apples into wedges and place them in a large bowl.
  • Cover the apples with water mixed with few drops of lemon juice (to prevent browning), wrap the bowl in plastic wrap and store in the fridge until ready to use.
  • Heat the caramel sauce in a small microwave safe bowl for 15 seconds until it reaches a pourable consistency.
  • Spread the caramel over the cream cheese mixture.
  • Sprinkle toffee bits over the caramel.
  • Drain and rinse the apple slices before placing them on a platter around the serving dish.

Notes

You may use Skor bits, Heath bits or simply chopped up toffee or hard caramels for topping.
