Camp Cooker French Toast

Make camp cooker French toast right over the campfire! Crispy, buttery bread is dipped in cinnamon vanilla custard for an easy camping breakfast.

Ingredients

  • French bread sliced
  • 1 Tbsp milk
  • 4 eggs
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • Syrup
  • Butter

Instructions

  • Start by greasing the inside of the iron if needed.
  • Mix the eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla in a medium bowl.
  • Dip each side of the bread in the egg mixture and place inside the camp cooker.
  • Cook over the coals of a campfire for about 5 minutes per side.
  • Open the iron and check for doneness. When cooked, serve with butter and syrup.
