Ingredients

  • 12 oz chocolate candy melts
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 7.5 oz chow mein noodles - about 6 cups
  • ¼ cup candy eyes

Instructions

  • Add the candy melts to the crockpot and set it on low for 1 hour. Halfway through, toss in the creamy peanut butter.
  • Once the candy melts, give it another stir with a wooden spoon to make sure everything’s well blended.
  • Stir in the chow mein noodles, making sure they’re fully coated in the candy mixture.
  • Use a cookie scoop to drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet.
  • Top with candy eyes for that spooky Halloween touch!
  • Pop the haystacks in the fridge for about an hour to set, and they’re ready to go!

Notes

  • Make sure your peanut butter is at room temperature to help it mix smoothly with the candy melts.
  • Add Halloween sprinkles.
  • If you’re not feeling the Halloween theme, try using white almond bark to make white chocolate haystacks for a wintery twist.
  • Love butterscotch? Make butterscotch haystacks by swapping the candy melts with butterscotch chips for a tasty change.
  • For extra texture, mix in some pretzels or nuts with your chow mein noodles.
  • These haystacks are a hit during Christmastime too! Just switch up the colors and toppings.
