” oval rocks
Black acrylic paint
Green acrylic paint
Yellow acrylic paint
Red acrylic paint
Paintbrush
Pencil
Mod Podge

Instructions
Paint the entire rock green (Tip: Place a bit of putty on the back of the rock to stick it to your craft surface while painting).
Lightly sketch features onto the rock using a pencil.
Paint on the features with black paint (eyes, nose, and mouth).
Fill the eyes in with yellow paint.
Add a red pupil to the eyes.
Allow the paint to dry completely.
Seal with a coat of Mod Podge (optional).
Notes
A fine tip paintbrush works best for adding the facial features.
Use paint pens for the finer details if tiny paintbrushes feel too tricky.
If your kids are young, pre-paint the rocks green and let them handle the features.
Add glitter glue accents for a little sparkle.
Paint multiple rocks at once for easy handmade gifts to share.
Store leftover acrylic paints upside down to keep them from drying out.
Smooth rocks work best, but if yours are rough, give them a quick sand before painting.
