Peanut Butter Brownies Recipe

Equipment

  • 1 8x8 inch square tin

Ingredients

  • 1 box peanut butter brownie mix
  • 2-4 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 egg large
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine brownie mix with water, egg, and oil. Use a whisk or spatula to stir until smooth. An electric mixer could also be used.
  • Line the baking pan with aluminum foil or parchment paper and spread the brownie mixture out evenly. Drizzle peanut butter over the mixture.
  • Preheat oven to 320 F and bake for 15-18 minutes or until just set.
  • Leave the brownies to cool on a cooling rack, then cut into squares. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Add a splash of vanilla extract for extra flavor.
  • Mix your ingredients just until everything is combined to keep your brownies nice and tender.
  • For a marbled effect, swirl the peanut butter into the brownie batter with a knife instead of just drizzling it.
  • You can add as little or as much peanut butter as you like. I sometimes add a bit extra for even creamier brownies.
  • Try adding peanut butter chips or chocolate chips to the batter for an even more decadent treat. You could also sprinkle the top with a bit of flaky sea salt.
  • Keep an eye on the baking time; the brownies should be set, but a toothpick should come out with a few moist crumbs for that perfect fudgy center.
  • Store any leftovers at room temperature in an airtight container to keep them moist and delicious for days! If you want to enjoy them warm, just pop one in the microwave for a few seconds first.
