Ninja Creami Blueberry Frozen Yogurt
With fresh fruit, Greek yogurt, and a touch of sweetness, itโs the ideal balance between indulgent and nutritious. Plus, you have complete control over the ingredients, so you can adjust the sugar intake or even sneak in some protein for an extra boost!

Ingredients
- Ripe blueberries, sliced โ Fresh, juicy blueberries add natural sweetness, vibrant color, and bright flavor. Frozen berries can be used too!
- Monk fruit sweetener or granulated white sugar โ A touch of sweetener enhances the blueberries’ natural flavor without overpowering it.
- Greek yogurt, full-fat โ This adds a creamy texture and a slight tanginess that balances the sweetness.
- 2% Milk โ Milk helps blend everything together into a smooth, scoopable consistency. You can substitute this for a vanilla protein shake for an added protein boost.

Instructions
1. In a small mixing bowl, combine blueberries and sweetener. Let them sit for 15 minutes until the berries start to release their juices.
2. Add the Greek yogurt and milk to the bowl. Use an immersion blender to blend until combined, but be careful not to overmix.
3. Pour the mixture into the Ninja Creami pint container, making sure not to go over the max fill line.
4. Place the container on a level surface in the freezer and let it freeze for 24 hours or until solid.
5. Once frozen, remove the container from the freezer and run it under hot water for 30 seconds to loosen the sides.
6. Place the container in the outer bowl of the Ninja Creami, lock the lid into place, and insert it into the Ninja Creami ice cream maker. Press the Lite Ice Cream button and allow the cycle to complete.

7. After the first spin, check the consistency of the frozen yogurt. If it looks powdery, return to the machine and press the Re-spin button.

8. Scoop the frozen yogurt into bowls, top with fresh fruit, and enjoy immediately!

Tips and Tricks
- Want ultra-creamy frozen yogurt? Add ยฝ teaspoon xanthan gum before freezing to maintain a much creamier texture.
- Chop mix-ins into small pieces so they distribute evenly and blend smoothly.
- Place the pint on a level surface in your freezer to prevent freezing at an angle.
- If the frozen yogurt is too hard, use the Re-spin function for a softer consistency.
- Let the frozen pint sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes or run under hot water for 30 seconds before spinning to prevent icy chunks.
- If a dome forms on top while freezing, try freezing without the lid or scrape off any excess before spinning to protect your blades.
- If you’re looking to reduce sugar content, consider using natural sweeteners like honey, maple syrup, or agave nectar for a different flavor profile.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use a different type of yogurt?
Yes! You can use plain yogurt, fat-free yogurt, or even coconut milk for a dairy-free option, but the final texture will be softer and less thick than frozen yogurt made with Greek yogurt. Greek yogurt generally produces the creamiest results.
Why is my Ninja Creami frozen yogurt icy after spinning?
Icy frozen yogurt is usually caused by a base that’s too low in fat or sweetener. Using full-fat Greek yogurt, ensuring the sweetener is fully dissolved, and running an additional Re-Spin cycle can help create a smoother, creamier texture.
Can I add mix-ins to this blueberry frozen yogurt?
Definitely! After processing, use the Ninja Creami Mix-In function to add chocolate chips, granola, chopped nuts, fresh berries, or even a swirl of peanut butter for extra flavor and texture.
Can I use frozen blueberries instead of fresh blueberries?
Yes! Frozen blueberries work wonderfully in this recipe. For the smoothest texture, thaw them slightly before blending with the yogurt mixture. Frozen berries are a great option when fresh blueberries aren’t in season.
Do I really need to freeze the pint for 24 hours?
Yes. Ninja recommends freezing the pint for at least 24 hours before processing. This allows the mixture to reach the proper temperature for the machine to create a creamy frozen dessert.
How long will homemade Ninja Creami frozen yogurt last in the freezer?
For the best flavor and texture, Ninja recommends enjoying frozen treats within about two weeks of preparing the base. If stored longer, the frozen yogurt is still safe to eat, but the texture may become icier over time.

This Ninja Creami frozen yogurt is the perfect way to enjoy a sweet treat while keeping things light and refreshing. Plus, once you master this recipe, you can start experimenting with different flavors like strawberry, mango, raspberry or blueberry.ย
