Ingredients:
- 12-20 Mini Pretzels
- 2 oz meltable white chocolate candy melts
- 1 oz pink, yellow and green candy melts
Tip: pretzel rods, large pretzels, pretzel twists, pretzel sticks or square pretzels can be used instead of mini ones.
Directions:
1. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave safe container. Melt in intervals of 15 to 30 seconds, checking and stirring each time so that the chocolate doesn’t burn. Dip the pretzel into the white chocolate, coating the whole pretzel.
2. Place the treats on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet or wire rack. Tip: using a wire rack allows the excess chocolate to drip from this salty treat.
3. In separate small bowls, melt the colored chocolate wafers in the microwave at 15 second intervals, stirring in between until the chocolate is completely smooth. Poor the chocolate into piping bags or sturdy plastic bags.
4. Cut the tip from the milk chocolate piping bag and drizzle chocolate over the pretzels. Repeat with each color of chocolate.
5. Place the pretzels in the fridge and allow the chocolate to harden completely before serving.
Before the chocolate cools you could also add: mini eggs, M&M candies, festive sprinkles and more!
Tips for making chocolate pretzels:
- Use Wilton candy melts for best results, the wafer chocolate melts the best. Add one teaspoon of coconut oil to other melted chocolate chips to help them melt and pour better.
- Lay the chocolate covered treat on a wax paper lined baking sheet for easy moving and transporting before the chocolate has hardened.
- Place the chocolate in the fridge or freezer to completely cool before serving.
How long to chocolate dipped pretzels last?
Store these yummy treats in a large freezer bag or airtight container for up to one month at room temperature. They can also be stored in the fridge to prevent the chocolate from melting or in the freezer for months.
