We are super excited for the release of the new Hocus Pocus movie this year! To celebrate I have created all sorts of nostalgic treats; like these Sanderson sister rice krispies, Hocus Pocus punch, spellbook brownies, Jinx the cat cookies, zombie Billy chocolate dipped pretzels and a whole Hocus Pocus dessert board.

A Hocus Pocus refresher:

The Sanderson sisters are the main characters of the 1993 film, Hocus Pocus. They run amuck with their evil spell book and henchmen Billy Butcherson while hunting children and turning one into Binx, an immortal black cat.

What are chocolate covered pretzels?

Chocolate covered pretzels are delicious little treats with the perfect combination of sweet and salty flavours. These zombie pretzels are made easy by simply using pretzel rods, dipping them in chocolate and then covering them in sprinkles.

I love how silly these treats look with colorful candy melts and candy eyeballs! They can easily be adapted by simply using different colored chocolate or sprinkles.

9. Place the chocolate in a small freezer bag, cut the tip from one corner and pipe a zombie mouth onto each pretzel.

10. Return the pretzel rods to the fridge to set until ready to serve.

TIPS FOR MAKING THESE EASY HALLOWEEN TREATS:

  • Use Wilton candy melts for best results, the wafer chocolate melts the best. Add one teaspoon of coconut oil to other melted chocolate chips to help them melt and pour better.
  • Lay the chocolate covered treat on a parchment lined baking sheet for easy moving and transporting before the chocolate has hardened.
  • Place the chocolate in the fridge or freezer to completely cool before serving.

How long do chocolate dipped pretzels last?

Store these yummy treats in a large freezer bag or airtight container for up to one month at room temperature. They can also be stored in the fridge to prevent the chocolate from melting or in the freezer for months.
