Yummy Mango Salsa Recipe

This yummy mango salsa recipe pairs perfectly with all sorts of dishes! We especially love it on this fresh grilled halibut that we caught on our last fishing trip.

This recipe is perfect for all of those Mexican, taco night dishes that you know and love. It’s easy to make and simple to prepare in minutes!

Yummy Mango Salsa Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 small white onion
  • 3 roma tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 bell peppers
  • 1 jalapeno pepper (optional)
  • 2 ripe mangoes
  • 1 green onion
  • 2 Tbsp fresh cilantro
  • 1/2 lime
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Dice all of the vegetables and mango finely. Tip: a food processor can be used to make the cutting faster and easier.
  2. Add to a medium mixing bowl.
  3. Squeeze in the juice of 1/2 of a lime, add salt and stir.
  4. Refrigerate for at least an hour so that the flavours combine.

This recipe makes about two and a half cups of salsa depending on the size of your vegetables and mango. We like to use Roma tomatoes because they have the most flesh of all the varieties and won’t make this dish too juicy.

Cilantro and lime can be added to your liking but we always think the more cilantro, the better. Fresh cilantro and lime juice is a must have in order to get the crisp, fresh flavour that makes this the best mango salsa!
