Tips and Tricks for Smoked Salmon Pasta

  • Try Variations: add minced Garlic cloves, chopped Sun-dried tomatoes or halved cherry tomatoes for extra flavor. Substitute Crème fraîche for the cream for a tangy twist.
  • Save Some Pasta Water: Before draining your spaghetti, reserve a cup of the cooking water. This starchy water is a great addition to the sauce, helping it to adhere better to the pasta.
  • Adjust Consistency: If your sauce is too thick, gradually add some reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.
  • For Perfect Pasta: stop cooking just a minute or two before it’s fully tender. This will help the pasta hold its texture and absorb the pasta sauce better.
  • Finish with Fresh Herbs: Stir in chopped chives and fresh dill for a burst of freshness. A bit of lemon zest and a squeeze of lemon juice add brightness to the dish.
