Strawberry Punch Recipe
Ingredients:
- Pineapple juice – this is my favorite fruit juice, it pairs wonderfully with the strawberries and doesn’t overpower the flavor.
- Sprite or 7UP – ginger ale would work too.
- Frozen strawberries, pureed – these give the punch that signature color.
- Fresh strawberries, halved – these are easily carved into hearts.
Note: the frozen strawberry puree can be replaced with strawberry daiquiri mix but we much prefer to make our own, quick puree when we can.
Instructions
1. Begin by making the strawberry puree. Defrost the frozen strawberries and place them in a medium mixing bowl. Use a hand blender to puree the strawberries until smooth.
2. Remove the leaves from the fresh strawberries and cut each berry in half. With a pairing knife, trim them all into a heart shape.
3. Add the unsweetened strawberry juice puree to a large pitcher.
4. Add half of the fruit to the pitcher (reserve some to garnish each glass).
5. Add the pineapple juice to the strawberry mixture.
6. Fill the pitcher with 7UP and stir with a long handled wooden spoon to combine.
7. Finally, serve with ice in individual glasses and garnish with extra strawberry hearts.
You can store this punch in an airtight container in the refrigerator for later or pour it into a large sealed carafe to take with you! Serve with ice cubes.
Add this easy recipe to all of your holiday celebrations, a baby shower and party. Creating festive drinks is the perfect way to get into the Valentine’s Day spirit.
This delicious drink is a great option to serve on a hot day as well! Why not experiment with the strawberry flavour, add watermelon and fresh herbs to create a watermelon strawberry mocktail that would be perfect for the summer months. I
can see adding fresh berries or a spring of mint too, making it a good drink for the warm summer months as well. The possibilities are endless!
