High Protein Big Mac Pizza Recipe

Instead of going the usual pizza night pepperoni route (again), throw the family a curveball and make this Big Mac Pizza.

Ingredients

  • 1 turkey pizza crust
  • ½ pound lean ground beef
  • ¼ small white onion diced
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 2 cups fresh lettuce shredded
  • 1-2 dill pickles sliced
  • ¼ cup Homemade Big Mac sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  • Start by preparing the pizza crust according to directions on the package or make my turkey crust.
  • In a large skillet on medium heat, brown the beef, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat and add salt and pepper if desired.
  • Place the crust on a prepared sheet pan and layer with big mac sauce, cheese, meat and onions.
  • Bake in the oven at 350 for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is all melted.
  • Top with Big Mac pizza toppings: iceberg lettuce, pickle slices, secret sauce and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
  • Cut into slices and enjoy!

Notes

  • Make your own sauce: Stir together mayo, ketchup, dill relish, white vinegar, onion powder, and garlic powder in a small bowl to make a killer copycat Big Mac sauce.
  • Use a pizza stone or air fryer: For that crispy crust, try baking on a pizza stone or crisping slices in the air fryer after.
  • Swap the crust: Try fathead dough, almond flour crust, or even a pillsbury crust depending on your dietary needs.
  • Cheese mix-up: Can’t find shredded cheddar? American cheese slices give it that authentic fast food twist.
  • Store it right: Leftovers keep well in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in a hot oven or skillet for best results.
