What could be better than hot, gooey homemade cinnamon rolls straight from the oven?! These easy bunny shaped cinnamon buns are so fun to make for Easter! Let me show you how…

Cinnamon bun recipe

Ingredients:

  • Container of Pillsbury Grands Cinnamon Rolls
  • Non stick baking spray
  • Easter sprinkles
  • Duncan Hynes vanilla frosting (optional)

Tip: homemade cream cheese icing can also be added to the top of the casserole but using the icing that comes with the cinnamon rolls is just as good in our opinion! We’ve tried different brands but Pillsbury rolls are always better than any other store brand.

Directions

1. Open the can of dough and set aside the icing. Pre heat oven to 350 degrees F.

2. Unroll each of the large cinnamon rolls half way. Create bunny ears with the unrolled dough. Place the cinnamon buns in a greased casserole dish or parchment paper lined baking sheet.

3. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the top turns golden brown.

4. Spread icing over the warm cinnamon buns.

5. Top with Easter sprinkles and serve warm.

6. Optionally you can add frosting to the cinnamon buns to create a bunny “tail”.

  • Add apple pie and brown sugar filling to the base of the casserole dish to make apple cinnamon roll casserole.
  • Place the ingredients into an air fryer basket to make air fryer cinnamon rolls.
  • Refrigerate overnight or for at least four hours before cooking to create an overnight breakfast casserole.
  • Place the ingredients into a slow cooker and cook for 2 hours on the low setting to create crock pot cinnamon rolls.
  • Another favorite is drizzling caramel sauce or maple syrup overtop for a truly sweet treat.
