Pizza Variations:

  • Try premade dough, a premade crust, or use your favorite recipe.  Chocolate chip cookie dough would make an awesome pizza cookie.
  • Leave out the pizza dough entirely and make a chocolate chip cookie crust. You could also use chocolate cookie dough, sugar cookie dough, or even brownie mix.
  • Try different flavors of cake mix.
  • Switch out the Oreos for your favorite cookie.
  • Sprinkle marshmallows, your favorite candy pieces, chopped candy bars, or mini chocolate chips on with the cookie topping.
  • Use white chocolate drizzle, a sweet cream cheese frosting, chocolate sauce, or caramel sauce along with, or instead of, the Oreo filling frosting.
  • Make your own simple glaze with powdered sugar and heavy cream.

Tips and Tricks:

  • Mix the pizza crust by hand or in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the dough hook attachment.
  • An offset spatula makes quick work of spreading the cake mixture over the pizza dough.
  • Use a food processor to crush Oreos evenly. Pulsing will allow you more control over how chunky the cookie pieces are.
  • Store leftovers at room temperature, either wrapped tightly with plastic wrap or in an airtight container.
