2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate wafers at 15-second intervals, giving them a good stir in between, until the chocolate is completely smooth.

3. Dip each mini pretzel twist into the melted chocolate, coating them entirely, and let the excess drip off by tapping it gently against the side of the bowl.
Alternately, you can also use this new Wilton Chocolate Melting Pot that keeps the chocolate melted at the perfect temperature!
Tip: I like to use a fork for lifting the pretzel out of the chocolate, because it allows the excess chocolate to drip between the tines.

- If you want this treat to be gluten-free, just swap in gluten-free pretzels for the perfect sweet snack everyone can enjoy.
- Add candy eyes to turn these pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns.
- Keep your chocolate from cooling too quickly, and save yourself from the need to rush, by working in small batches.
- Store the pretzels in an airtight container at room temperature to keep them fresh. For even longer storage, toss them in the freezer for months of snacking bliss.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use white chocolate chips instead of candy melts?
Absolutely! Just add a bit of orange food coloring and a drizzle of coconut oil to get the right texture.
Can I freeze chocolate-covered pretzels?
You bet! Freezing is the easiest way to keep your pretzel pumpkins fresh for up to 3 months. To avoid sticking or condensation issues, layer the pretzels with wax paper or parchment paper inside a freezer-safe container.
How far in advance can I make these treats?
You can make them up to 1-2 months ahead if stored properly in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge. For longer storage, freezing works well for up to 3 months.
Why does chocolate turn white after storing?
That white coating is called chocolate bloom and occurs when cocoa butter rises to the surface due to temperature changes. While it’s still safe to eat, it can alter the texture. To avoid this, store your treats in a cool, dry place.

Do you think adding pumpkin spice to the melted chocolate would work?
I would sprinkle it on top before the chocolate dries. OR you can actually get pumpkin spice flavoured candy melts at Michaels – they’re yummy!
