Starbucks Tiramisu Frappuccino Recipe

I am a huge fan of coffee drinks and creating our own from the Starbucks secret menu. A simple cold brew, breve latte and of course, frappuccinos – I love them all. Some days, I think caffeine might be the only thing keeping me going!

Too busy to make this right away? Pin it for later! Pin this post to your favorite board on Pinterest and it will be there when you’re ready!

I try to visit our local coffee shop at least once a week to get some writing done and can honestly say that the Starbucks baristas are some of my favorite people. Coffee lovers unite over Starbucks coffee and a string of delicious new drinks every season.

I especially enjoy indulging in the seasonal treats that Starbucks offers throughout the year. That’s where this classic tiramisu frappuccino recipe comes in – it’s super easy to recreate at home!

What is tiramisu?

If you are already a fan of tiramisu then you know that it is a decadent dessert made with simple ingredients. Tiramisu cake starts with a custard base, a ladyfinger cookie layer, then a mascarpone cheese filling and is topped with a dusting of cocoa powder.

Tiramisu frapps are based off of this delicious layered cake. We take the yummy flavour profile from this tiramisu dessert and create our own version of a tiramisu frapp at home.

While the coffee tiramisu frappuccino is only available in Starbucks stores for a limited time, with this recipe you can enjoy your favorite drink anytime! Try a few of these substitutions…

Substitutions:

  • For a healthier version, replace the syrups with the sugar free versions.
  • Toffee Syrup, amaretto syrup or vanilla syrup may also be used.
  • Vanilla extract can be used instead of hazelnut extract.
  • Caramel flan sauce or a pump of caramel flan syrup may be used instead of caramel sauce.
  • Whole milk may be substituted with heavy cream, soy milk, oat milk or almond milk.
  • Try mocha sauce instead of regular chocolate sauce to enhance the coffee flavor.
  • Top with mocha drizzle or chocolate shavings instead of whipped cream.

Tips & Tricks:

  • To get an even more intense chocolatey flavor, add some dark chocolate powder to the milk mixture before blending.
  • If you want your frappuccino thicker, add extra ice cubes. If it is too thick, add a little more milk or an espresso shot.
  • For a truly decadent treat, turn the frappuccino base into a milkshake with ice cream. You will probably want to cut back on the ice cubes if you decide to go this route.
