ABOUT
Hey there!
Welcome to Homemade Heather!
I’m Heather, a creative from Canada who’s been sharing crafts, printables, and recipes here for over 16 years. What began as a little space to share mom life has blossomed into a full-time blogging adventure with thousands of posts featuring easy crafts, free printables, and delicious recipes.

This blog has been such an essential part of supporting my little fam jam, and I couldn’t be more grateful to have you along for the ride! It all started when my twin boys were born, and I was on maternity leave from my job as a Program Coordinator with the Boys and Girls Club. I began sharing all the fun projects we created together at home—like a do-it-yourself trundle bed, this printable Grinch game, and these candy cane brownie cake pops!
Blogging quickly became the perfect outlet for my passion for all things creative, photography, and teaching. Seven years later, I decided to make the leap, retiring from my job to blog full-time. Since 2008, Homemade Heather has grown right alongside my boys.
After living in the beautiful Okanagan Valley for most of my life, you can find me hiking the local trails, wine touring at nearby vineyards, or camping with friends and family in the wilderness. Now, I get to enjoy it all with my favorite person—my partner in life, Martin. He’s also a cooking enthusiast, and together, we created my second site, Campfire Foodie, where we share our favorite camping recipes!
