Supplies
- Mini red solo cups
- 1″ styrofoam balls
- White spackling
- Piping bag and 1A icing tip
- Festive paper straw
- Brown dimensional fabric paint
- Hot glue gun
- Bakers twine
Tip: use different colors of paint to create different kinds of chocolate drizzle.
Directions:
- Glue two styrofoam balls together using the hot glue.
2. Glue the two styrofoam balls into the base of the mini solo cup.
3. Cut the tip from the piping bag and attach a 1A decorative tip. Fill the piping bag with approximately 1/4 cup of white spackle.
4. Use the spackle to frost the top of the styrofoam ball to create whipping cream.
5. Use the 3D paint to drizzle “chocolate” over the top of the whipping cream. Cut a 1″ length from a straw and place it into the whipping cream.
6. Glue a Starbucks logo to the front of the cup (optional). I printed off these mini logos using my printer at home (free downloadable file can be found at the bottom of this post – for personal use only).
7. Hot glue a loop of bakers twine to the cup for hanging. The best spot (so that the cup doesn’t tip too much) seems to be glueing the loop inside of the straw when the spackle is completely dry.
You could also use a picture hanger hook fastened to the top of the spackle when dry.
Seriously, how darling are these Starbucks hot cocoa ornaments?! I can see them on the Christmas tree or used as gift tags to embellish gifts!
