WHAT ARE RICE KRISPIE TREATS?

Rice krispie treats are primarily made of rice krispies cereal, melted butter and mini marshmallows. These valentine pops are made even easier by simply using pre made cereal treats, dipping them in chocolate and then covering them in candy and colorful sprinkles.

These holiday treats are so much fun for kids of all ages to make and take to a Valentine’s Day Party. They’d be great for love themed events like a wedding or bridal shower too!

I love how pretty this treat looks with just pink candy melts and red candy! It can easily be adapted by simply using different colored chocolate or candy.

Try using: a pretzel stick, white candy melts, red candy melts, pink candy, white chocolate drizzle, red and pink M&Ms or more!

TIPS FOR MAKING THESE EASY VALENTINE TREATS:

  • Use Wilton candy melts for best results, the wafer chocolate melts the best. Add one teaspoon of coconut oil to other melted chocolate chips to help them melt and pour better.
  • Lay the chocolate covered treat on a parchment lined baking sheet for easy moving and transporting before the chocolate has hardened.
  • Place the chocolate in the fridge or freezer to completely cool before serving.
  • Store these yummy treats in a large freezer bag or airtight container for up to three months at room temperature. They can also be stored in the fridge to prevent the chocolate from melting.

Variations:

  • Looking for fun heart shapes? Easy! Just use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out heart shaped valentine’s rice krispie treats.
  • Use white chocolate chips instead of melting wafers, you could tint it with red food coloring to get a pink shade.
