Ingredients
All you need to make this recipe is four ingredients.ย I make it so often that I just keep these Skor bar supplies in my pantry at all times.
- Ritz crackers โ Buttery Ritz crackers create the perfect salty crunch that balances all the sweet toffee goodness.
- Skor bits โ These crunchy toffee bits add rich caramel flavor and irresistible candy bar texture throughout the bars.
- Sweetened condensed milk โ Thick and creamy, it binds everything together into a gooey, decadent dessert base.
- Vanilla frosting โ For a sweet creamy layer that takes these bars completely over the top.

Instructions
1. Crush up the Ritz crackers and place them into a medium-sized mixing bowl.

2. Pour the sweetened condensed milk over top of the crushed crackers.

3. Mix in the bag of Skor bits (reserve 2 Tbsp for topping if desired).

4. Give the mixture a good stir, pour into a greased 7×11″ or 8×8″ baking dish, and pat down.

5. Place in the oven at 350ยฐ for 15-20 minutes or until the edges start to bubble and caramelize.ย

6. Allow the pan to cool, then slather on the icing and cut into bars.
Be sure to allow the bars to completely cool before cutting. I like to chill the pan in the fridge for a few hours first.ย This makes cutting the bars so much easier!

This recipe is even better the next day, if they last that long.ย Trust me on this one, you might want to hide them from the family.
How to Store Skor Bar Squares
- Place into an airtight container or freezer bag and store at room temperature for five to seven days.
- Store in the freezer for up to three months (but there is no way that they will not get eaten before then).
- I like to keep them in the fridge for up to one week so that they remain firm and hold their shape.

Don’t they look amazing?!?ย And they taste even better.ย Take these white trash Skor bars to your next event and you’re sure to wow your friends and family.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use homemade frosting instead of store-bought frosting?
Absolutely! Homemade vanilla buttercream works wonderfully and gives the bars an even richer flavor. Store-bought frosting is just a great shortcut for busy days.
Do white trash Skor bars need to be refrigerated?
They can be stored at room temperature for several days, but chilling them in the fridge helps the bars firm up and makes them much easier to slice neatly.
Can I freeze Skor bars?
Yes! These bars freeze beautifully for up to three months. Wrap them tightly or store in an airtight container to keep them fresh and delicious.
Can I substitute Heath bits for Skor bits?
Definitely! Heath bits work almost exactly the same and give a very similar buttery toffee flavor if Skor bits are hard to find.
Why are my bars falling apart when sliced?
The bars need plenty of cooling time before cutting. Refrigerating the pan for a few hours helps everything set properly and keeps the bars nice and firm.

The recipe does not work in an 8×8 pan unless you want them to be 2 inches thick. It was perfect for a 9×13 though!
We make these all the time, though we just call then Skor Bar Squares. We use cream cheese icing, and it’s AMAZING and really is as easy as this says. We reserve about a third of the bag of skor bits to use as topping.
SO GOOD!!
I substituted the frosting and instead melted chocolate for the top! Omg so good!
I have made these for a few years now but I do not bake them. The recipe use to call for a box of ritz crackers and it worked out beautifully, but with the downsize of the ritz crackers I now have to buy two boxes and mix the crumbs in until it is not gooey and press into 8×8 pan then put them in the fridge while I make my butter icing. I freeze them cut up and take out what I need to use. They are firm enough to pick up and eat and so good! Just an option if you donโt want to bake.
Thanks for the tip!! So glad that you enjoy them :)
These are really good but there was no instruction to grease the pan. Mine are STUCK to the bottom
Dang! I’ll be sure to edit the recipe to make that clear :)
