How to Make Christmas Spinach Dip
Ingredients
- Frozen spinach, thawed and drained โ Thaw and drain it well so your dip isnโt soggy.
- Cream cheese, softened โ The creamy base that ties everything together.
- Garlic cloves, minced โ Adds that irresistible savory kick.
- Garlic powder โ Just enough to keep it interesting.
- Chili powder โ A warm, smoky spice that gives the dip a little kick.
- Salt โ A classic seasoning that makes every bite taste better.
- Parmesan cheese, grated โ Salty and nutty, it gives the dip extra depth.
- Mozzarella cheese, grated โ Gooey, melty, and always a crowd-pleaser.
- Refrigerated pizza crust โ I love using Pillsbury crust because it’s the ultimate time-saving shortcut (but homemade dough works too).
- Melted butter โ Brushed on top for a shiny, golden brown finish.
Tip: Use homemade spinach dip in this recipe or substitute store-bought dip instead to make it even easier.

2. In a large mixing bowl, stir together the spinach and softened cream cheese.

4. Add parmesan cheese and half of the mozzarella cheese and mix to combine. The other half of the mozzarella cheese will be sprinkled over the filling when you shape the Christmas tree.
5. Open the can of pizza crust dough and spread it out flat. Use a pizza cutter to cut a large triangle from the center of the dough.
6. Reserve the remaining dough triangles to go over top of the spinach mixture.
7. Place the large triangle of pizza dough on the parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
8. Spread the spinach dip mixture over the base triangle, leaving the edges uncovered. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top of the spinach dip.
9. Place the rest of the dough over the spinach layer and press the edges together.
10. Use a sharp knife or pizza cutter to cut slices into each side of the dough tree, about two inches deep and one inch apart. Leave the middle of the tree intact. Twist each of these pieces a few times to create breadsticks.
11. Melt butter and then brush over the entire tree. Sprinkle on a little bit of garlic salt if desired.
