We have been making all kinds of delicious grilled recipes this summer like this Lemon Chipotle BBQ Salmon and Keto Beef Jerky.

I have to say that these bacon-wrapped tenders are probably one of our favorite recipes though. Juicy chicken is wrapped in strips of bacon and then grilled to perfection.

What makes these boneless chicken tenders so delicious is the spice blend that we use to coat each piece of chicken before cooking. The combination of garlic powder & cayenne pepper in the brown sugar mixture gives the chicken a sweet and spicy flavor that the entire family loves.

The trick to making the perfect bacon wrapped chicken is cooking it at a lower temperature for longer. These do not need high heat, it will just burn the bacon and not cook it evenly.

Substitute ingredients:

  • Add onion powder or black pepper to the coating.
  • Use chili powder instead of cayenne pepper.
  • Try using turkey bacon instead of pork.

Tips and tricks:

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week.
  • Baste the pieces of chicken with barbecue sauce in the last few minutes of cooking for added flavor.
  • Chicken tenders may be placed in a single layer on a parchment lined baking sheet and baked in the oven instead of grilled.
  • Try using an air fryer to cook these chicken tenders even faster!
