We are super excited for the release of the new Hocus Pocus movie this year! To celebrate, I have created all sorts of nostalgic treats; like these Sanderson sister rice krispies, Hocus Pocus punch, spellbook brownies, Jinx the cat cookies, zombie Billy chocolate dipped pretzels, and a whole Hocus Pocus dessert board.
A Hocus Pocus Refresher
The Sanderson sisters are the main characters of the 1993 film, Hocus Pocus. They run amuck with their evil spellbook and henchmen Billy Butcherson while hunting children and turning one into Binx, an immortal black cat.

This melted chocolate drip idea could be used with any kind of punch or drink recipe. I would love to see it paired with a green sour apple drink too!
This Halloween monster mocktail and these Slytherin shots would make great additions to your party menu too!

This Hocus Pocus drink recipe is super easy to make for parties and events! The cocktail can be made non-alcoholic by simply omitting the vodka.

Ingredients
- Black candy melts โ Melted candy creates the dramatic dripping black rim that gives these glasses their spooky, witchy look.
- Mini candy eyes โ These edible eyes transform each drink into a creepy Halloween masterpiece.
- Tall cocktail glasses โ Tall glasses provide plenty of room to showcase the fun chocolate drips and colorful drink. Mine are from Homesense.
- Sunrype Fruit Plus Mango & Carrot Juice (or orange punch of choice) โ This fruity base adds bright flavor and a vibrant Halloween-inspired color.
- Vodka (optional) โ Add vodka for an easy adult Halloween cocktail, or leave it out for a family-friendly mocktail.
- Ice โ Keeps the drink perfectly chilled while making it extra refreshing. I found our fun ice cube tray at Dollarama.
This recipe makes 4 servings and can be doubled or halved depending on the number of guests that you are serving.

Instructions
1. In a small bowl, melt the chocolate wafers in the microwave at 15-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is completely smooth.
Alternately, you can also use this new Wilton Chocolate Melting Pot that keeps the chocolate melted at the perfect temperature!

2. Use a small spoon or lollipop stick to add drops of chocolate to the rim of the cup, creating drips coming down from the rim of the glass.
Tip: Add a drop of chocolate to the side of the cup and then carefully “pull” it up towards the rim creating a drip effect. Use small amounts of chocolate to start.

3. Add candy eyes to a few of the drips around the glass.
Tip: Don’t do this too soon or the weight of the candy will cause the chocolate to smear down the side of the glass. Add a drop of melted chocolate to the back of the candy to “glue” it to the chocolate drip if needed.
4. Allow the chocolate to harden for about 30 minutes before mixing the cocktail.

5. Mix 1 oz vodka, 1 cup juice, and ice into each spooky glass.

This Hocus Pocus cocktail would be great with white rum as well. Simply omit the alcohol for a kid-friendly Hocus Pocus drink.

The drippy black chocolate rim really takes this cocktail over the top doesn’t it?! You could totally prepare these glasses the night before your event.
Just make sure that you have created one for each of your guests and you are good to go! You could even have several different Halloween cocktails ready to mix into the glasses.
