How to Bake Hot Dogs

How to Bake a Hot Dog:

Supplies:
- Baking sheet or dish
- Aluminum foil
- Pair of tongs
Ingredients:
- 12 all beef hot dogs
- 12 hot dog buns
We love these all beef wieners from Harvest, the are packaged with an individual protective wrapper that needs to be removed before cooking. You may use your favorite brand of hot dog, just be sure to remove the natural casing from the dogs.
Directions:
1. Pre heat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Cover a baking sheet in aluminum foil.
Note: this step is optional but helps to make clean up a breeze!
3. Place the hot dogs on the sheet. Leave space between the dogs for even baking.
Note: optionally the hot dogs can be pierced with a fork or cut with a knife before baking. This helps to fully bake the dog quickly.
4. Cook for 15 minutes in the oven.
5. Use tongs to handle each dog, serve warm on a toasty bun with your favorite condiments.
Hosting a summer potluck or friends for game day? Make a double batch of dogs and serve them with potato chips, pasta salad or potato salad for a complete meal.
Leftover hot dogs may be stored in an airtight container for up to one week in the fridge. You can microwave hot dogs to re heat them for later.
