Homemade Freezer Camping Breakfast Sandwiches

The nice thing about this recipe is you can make them with bagels or English muffins and you can totally customize your make-ahead breakfast sandwiches with your favorite toppings. Add your choice of meat or cheese. Include fresh vegetables, like onions and peppers, in the egg mixture. You could even throw in some hash browns if you want!

They are a great way to feed large groups too. This simple recipe for camping breakfast burritos is another one of my personal favorites!

You only need a few simple ingredients to make these breakfast sandwiches!

  • Eggs โ€“ Your protein-packed base for a happy morning.
  • Milk โ€“ Just a splash helps make your egg mixture fluffy and delish.
  • Salt and pepper โ€“ Because bland eggs are a crime.
  • Bagels โ€“ A sturdy and tasty vehicle for all that breakfast goodness.
  • Cheddar cheese โ€“ Melty, gooey, and classic.
  • Sausage patties โ€“ Cooked to sizzling perfection, these add major flavor and heartiness.

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375ยฐF and spray a 9×13-inch pan with non-stick spray (or line with parchment paper).

2. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.

3. Pour the egg mixture into your pan and bake for 25โ€“30 minutes until set. Let it cool.

4. Use a large round cookie cutter or mason jar lid to cut out 6 rounds of baked egg. Try to have the cookie cutter be close in size to your bagels.

5. Toast your bagels in a toaster or under the broiler until golden brown.

6. Cook your sausage patties (or other protein as desired) until done.

7. Assemble your sandwiches: layer egg, a sausage patty, and cheddar cheese on one half of the bagel. Cap it with the other half.

  • 8-10 large eggs
  • ยพ cup milk
  • 1 tsp salt & pepper
  • bagels
  • sliced cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees and spray a 9×13-inch pan with nonstick spray.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk and salt & pepper.
  • Pour the egg and milk mixture into the pan and bake 24-30 minutes until the eggs are done. Then let cool.
  • Toast the bagels in toaster or under broiler until golden.
  • Using a large round cookie cutter or mason jar lid, cut the eggs. Try to have the cookie cutter be close in size to your bagels. Cut the eggs into six rounds.
  • Cook the sausage (or other protein as desired) until done. Then assemble your sandwiches.
