Frequently Asked Questions
What are hamburger sliders?
Hamburger sliders are mini burgers typically served on small buns or Hawaiian rolls. Theyโre perfect for parties, game day spreads, and feeding hungry teenagers.
How do you keep hamburger sliders from getting soggy?
Toasting the buns before assembling, draining excess grease from the beef, and layering cheese on the buns first all help prevent soggy sliders. Baking them uncovered also keeps the rolls crisp and golden.
Can I make cheeseburger sliders ahead of time?
Yes! You can assemble the sliders ahead of time and refrigerate them until ready to bake. Add a few extra minutes to the baking time if cooking straight from the fridge.
What sides go well with hamburger sliders?
These mini burgers pair perfectly with potato chips, French fries, onion rings, pasta salad, or a crisp green salad. They also disappear suspiciously fast beside a tray of mozzarella sticks and wings on game day.
Can I freeze leftover sliders?
Yes, baked sliders can be wrapped tightly and frozen for up to 2 months. Reheat them in the oven so the buns stay crispy and the cheese gets nice and melty again.
